We Stand With Arizona, and Against Illegal Immigration - Petition - Sign this petition here - Signature page - GoPetition

I guess the constitution is "Guidelines?"

I was on Face book earlier and came across a friend who had posted a news article from Salon.com.

it was on the recent immigration bill signed into law by the Gov. of Arizona. She called it unconsitutional among other things so I asked, why was it so wrong for a state to protect their borders and their people? before going to read the whole story.

And I read the article. it's here if you wish to read it.

the one glaring problem I saw was that Illegal immigrants were considered citizens by the writer of the article.
Do they even check their facts anymore?

Amendment 14
Section 1: All persons born or Naturalized in the United States, and are subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

well if that's the law, how are Illegals protected under the Constitution?  Did we hand out green cards as these guys that are hopping the fence to get here? did the writer of the article forget this amendment also?

Amendment 10

The powers not delegated to the Untied States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

So are these just guidelines to follow when it's benifitical for EVERYONE?

For the Greater Good and for the Good of the United States, I would not mind being pulled over and asked to show identification/green card/ papers, what have you to show that I'm a citizen of the United States.

Brett Michaels

I've been watching this season's Celebrity Apprentice, and have been feeling for Brett Michaels and the charity he is playing for. A couple of weeks ago (on the show), he got news that his daughter might have Diabetes and was scared that she would have to take four shots a day to cope with it.

My mom, Future father in law, and several of my friends are diabetic, so I know about the disease.
anyways, last week, Brett had an emergency appendectomy. and today he apparently had a brain hemorrhage.

Greek Game Redone - Session One (and some history)

Well tonight, after a long time of waiting, we were able to, finally, get started on Greek Game.


Greek Game is a brain child of my friend Jester, who started this game way back in 2005. I've been involved with the game since it's start and my Character, Daphne, has gone though MANY MANY changes, mainly because one of the players, Kivan, wanted to be the STAR and to do that, he wanted to be the class Daphne was.


When we first started, Daphne was going to be a bard. Xena was a main influence on my characters at the time and I wanted Daphne to be similar to Gabrielle from the show. However, I was (and still am) New to DnD and I didn't know how to use Bardic Music right (according to Kivan). And instead of letting me learn, he basically rebuilt Daphne where the bard part was no longer involved. Daphne has gone though MANY MANY changes that I can't remember what she was during the multiple rebuilds/restarts of the game at different levels, that finally we settled on Barbarian and she is still that race. Many players left and some joined till the last time we ran game we had Daphne, Lysander, Zotikos, Kivan, Laurel, Gregorio and Aloysis.


Anyways, about 2 years ago, we got an email from Jester, saying that Kivan had hacked into her email accounts and what not and she just ended her friendship with him (He is a major @$$ and I could go on and on about him, but that's not what this blog post is about). She wanted to know who would be willing to continue with game reguardless of Kivan. Since my Fiance and I disliked Ryan and wished to continue without him, we were totally up for it. Unfortunately, life happened and got in the way of all of us to prevent to play game


Now, 2 years after the fact, we have started again, this time at Level 1 (Never in all the restarts did we start at level 1). and the best, it's without Kivan. I was able to build Daphne as Barbarian, and actually didn't have to have anyone build her for me or make corrections, unlike before, when someone built her for me because I was "Too New". and unlike before, I've added werewolf affliction to my character so she has a level adjustment of 2 at first level. ((I'll post her bio in a post in the future))


As I said before, Tonight was the first game. The only player characters currently are Daphne (me), Lysander (My fiance) and Zotikos (Milante) We were all Sacrifices to the Minotaur of Knossos. We have arrived at the palace and are waiting to be thrown into the Labyrinth to be sacrifices to the bull beast. unfortunately we didn't have enough time to actually get out of the starting area so to speak so not much memorable happened to us, only that the "womanizing" Lysander got lucky first game with a serving girl. ((*Daphne in the background groaning in disgust*)).

The best part is, we had fun, more fun, I venture to say, than we have ever had in a session of Greek Game. ((except for the Bull Sh-t moment in one game that Daphne had.... needless to say, coming from a mild-manner shy girl, it was.... memorable))

 Jester is also an artist, Here's a better rendering of Lysander than before (see his pic at bottom of my blog.) She made the comment that this is very fan service-y. And I admit, it is. *can't wait to see how Daphne turns out*

Go British Airways

As we know, we see discrimination in some form or another almost everyday and often times it leaves a sour taste in our mouths. The following story shows us the side of diversity that we are all working for. It is a pleasant twist to see that there are companies and individuals who face discrimination head on, if only one small step at a time. Enjoy reading the positive side of diversity...

I applaud British Airways for their action in this situation. On a British Airways flight from Johannesburg, a middle-aged, well-off white South African lady has found herself sitting next to a black man. She called the cabin crew attendant over to complain about her seating. "What seems to be the problem, Madam?" asked the attendant. "Can't you see?" She said. "You've sat me next to a kaffir. I can't possibly sit next to this disgusting human. Find me another seat!" "Please calm down Madam" the stewardess replied. "The flight is very full today, but I'll tell you what I'll do- I'll go and check to see if we have any seats available in club or first class." The woman cocks a snooty look at the outraged black man beside her (Not to mention many of the surrounding passengers). A few minutes later the stewardess returns with good news, which st delivers to the lady, who cannot help but look at the people around her with a smug and self satisfied grin: "Madam, unfortunately, as I suspected, economy is full. I've spoken to the cabin services director, and club is also full. However, we do have one seat in first class."
Before the lady had a chance to answer, The stewardess continues... "It's the most extraordinary to make this kind of upgrade, however, and I have had to get special permission from the captain. But, given the circumstances, the captain felt that it was outrageous that someone be forced to sit next to such an obnoxious person."

With which, she turned to the black man sitting next to the woman, and said: "So if you'd like to get your things, sir, I have your seat ready for you..." At which point, apparently the surrounding passengers stood up and gave a standing ovation while the black man walked sup to the front of the plane.

People will forget what you said..... People will forget what you did.... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

((I got this story in a college success class. I don't know who wrote it, but I thought people could use some inspirational words in such a diverse world. I originally posted it on my yahoo blog, but since I no longer update that one I wanted to share it again))

I can't wait

For years, ever since I was a kid, I've been a fan of the A-Team. I remember watching the show with my dad and Grandfather. Even now I'm a fan of the show. When I found out that they were going to do a movie about it, years ago, I was skeptical. Usually TV Show turned Movie doesn't work well. But I am willing to give it a shot, espcially after I saw the original movie trailer.

Well they just released the second movie Trailer





And it looks promising, well for me anyways. and the best part.... it opens on my birthday.

the last several years I've not wanted to celebrate my birthday, but this year, I'm excited because I have a movie I'm looking forward to seeing.
